COVID-19 UPDATE: Meals on Wheels of Hancock County is monitoring the current COVID-19 pandemic as it unfolds. The safety and well-being of our clients and volunteers are of utmost importance to our day-to-day programming, therefore we have switched to a limited contact model of delivery. Volunteers are required to wear gloves and carry hand sanitizer in their vehicles, and place meals in a cooler on the porch. They will follow-up with a phone call as a point of contact to ensure our clients' daily safety.

3. As part of the application process, we require a prescription from your doctor on prescription pad, even if it is for a regular diet, for all new clients. This can be faxed directly to a secure line at the hospital at (317) 468-4822. Please have your doctor fax attention to Meals on Wheels.

4. Financial information for receiving meals include:

  • $10 application fee (can be billed on the first invoice sent out at the first of the following month).
  • $7.50 per client per day (monthly charges vary depending on frequency and subsidy qualifications).
  • Financial assistance is available for those with limited income.
  • We do not accept insurance, Medicare or Medicaid.
